When single, my friends and I would vacation
in to what for us were exotic places. On one vacation we decided to go to Jamaica. Being an artist, the beauty of this magnificent
place caused me to take many photographs and sketch various scenes, which we came upon in traveling around this beautiful area.
On this particular trip, we came upon these local vendors hauling in their catch and
preparing them for sale. I was caught by the intensity of their actions as they went about their tasks. It was then the decision was
made that dry watercolor be the method I would use to depict this scene. This media aided me in capturing the vibrancy of the subjects. |
